Overview

A unified home for lifelong beginnings

The new hospital brings two premier institutions together in a single facility designed to elevate care for women, infants, and children. The building co-locates obstetrics, pediatric inpatient care, and a 108-position Level IV NICU, strengthening coordination and allowing fragile newborns to remain close to their mothers. Organized as two distinct experiences within one structure, the design uses separate entrances, tailored palettes, and branded environments to reflect each hospital’s identity. Abundant daylight, private rooms, family amenities, and nature-themed spaces—including a rooftop healing garden and five NICU neighborhoods—support comfort, clarity, and emotional well-being. A flexible chassis and standardized room footprints allow the facility to adapt as needs evolve, while sustainable features, including vegetated roofs, low-emitting materials, efficient systems, and water-saving strategies, reinforce the project’s alignment with patient health.

Flexible, standardized rooms can adapt as volumes shift, protecting long-term value. Daylight, nature views, and family amenities respond to evidence linking environment and experience, while LEED Silver strategies—low-emitting materials, efficient systems, and vegetated roofs—align building performance with patient health.
