Overview

Shaping a stand-alone clinical hub

The new building strengthens campus access and enables efficient care delivery through adaptable clinic modules, two ASCs, and modern support spaces designed for sustainability, streamlined flows, and future growth. The building is planned with independent MEP systems, clear public and surgical entries, and highly coordinated structural and interior strategies that support efficient workflows. Early concepts emphasize daylight, clarity of movement, and durable materials aligned with UMMS sustainability goals.

Expanding outpatient access

The project strengthens UMMS’s ability to meet rising outpatient demand by creating a purpose-built environment for coordinated specialty care and same-day surgery. Two ASCs improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks, while clinic modules provide adaptable space to support service line growth. The building’s high-performance systems advance energy and carbon objectives, lowering long-term operating costs. The project incorporates tilt-up construction to deliver a durable, efficient building envelope that accelerates the schedule and supports long-term performance. This project is being designed in collaboration with Powers Brown Architecture.
