We’re excited to welcome two emerging designers—Caleigh Crawford and Litian Yao—to our growing team. With distinct paths into architecture and a shared passion for healthcare design, each brings new perspectives, curiosity, and energy to our studio.

Caleigh’s interest in architecture has always lived at the crossroads of design, math, science, and creative problem-solving. Her academic journey reflects that blend—beginning with biomedical engineering, moving into art, and ultimately leading her to architectural engineering.
She began her career in commercial architecture, a fast-paced environment she described as “an interesting way to learn right out of school.” But the work felt incomplete. She found herself searching for more meaning in the projects she spent her days working on—and that search led her to healthcare architecture. Creating environments that directly support care, healing, and well-being has brought a new level of fulfillment to her work.
Caleigh is energized by the possibilities of new technology—from pushing how we use Revit to experimenting with tools that take a drawing or model “one step further.” She loves working on projects that she can eventually see built, and she enjoys being on-site during photoshoots to experience the impact of the work firsthand.
Outside of work, Caleigh enjoys crocheting, spending time with friends, and planning her upcoming wedding.

Litian grew up surrounded by healthcare—both of her parents work in hospitals—which shaped the way he sees the built environment and its impact on patients and staff. During a healthcare renovation studio in school, he realized how different hospitals can feel when you’re inside them every day versus when you design for them. He became fascinated with the balance of safety, efficiency, compassion, and human experience within clinical spaces, ultimately deciding to pursue healthcare design at Clemson University.
Litian originally chose architecture because it’s one of the most sought-after majors in China—driven by strong fundamentals in drawing, art, and theory. His early education included full-day weekend art classes, sculpture, crafts, and intensive sketching.
For Litian, it’s all about solving challenges. Healthcare design poses unique complexities—user groups with differing priorities, programs that don’t always align with actual habits, and change that some stakeholders may resist. He enjoys guiding users toward more efficient ideas, helping refine what they truly need, and navigating each new challenge with curiosity and patience.
Outside of work, Litian plays basketball—he even played for three years in college. And when it comes to cooking, he proudly claims his specialty: spaghetti made in a rice cooker.
Caleigh and Litian bring enthusiasm, empathy, and a genuine commitment to learning and contributing to meaningful work. Their perspectives—shaped by different backgrounds, cultures, and design experiences—enrich our studio and reflect the future of healthcare architecture.
Please join us in giving them both a warm welcome. We’re excited to see the impact they’ll make here.
Welcome to the team, Caleigh and Litian!
