Over his decade-plus tenure with the firm, Matt has become known for his drive, technical precision, and collaborative leadership—qualities that have made him an invaluable part of the Wilmot Sanz team and a trusted partner to clients across the Mid-Atlantic.
As he steps into this new role, Matt brings both confidence and clarity of purpose. His focus: to continue strengthening relationships, mentoring emerging talent, and driving the firm’s mission to deliver design excellence across every scale of healthcare architecture.
“This is an exciting next step—not just for me, but for the teams I work with every day,” Matt shares. “My goal is to help move the firm forward by deepening our client partnerships and ensuring consistency and communication at every phase of a project.”
Matt’s leadership style is defined by engagement. Dedicated to mentorship, Matt is deeply committed to supporting the next generation of architects and designers—exposing young professionals to all facets of healthcare design, from early planning through construction. His emphasis on transparency and shared learning strengthens the firm’s culture and reinforces Wilmot Sanz’s reputation for collaboration and technical excellence.
As part of his new role, Matt is expanding his industry leadership and representation efforts. He is actively engaged in presenting at national and regional conferences, sharing the firm’s expertise and thought leadership with peers across the industry.
This year, he will co-present at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo, highlighting the design and delivery of the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center New Patient Tower, and lead a series with the AIA on master code updates—reflecting his commitment to continuous improvement and professional advancement within the healthcare design community.
