In many parts of Western Ohio, access to quality healthcare remains a significant challenge. Local hospitals are stretched thin, and community members often travel long distances for essential services. Recognizing this growing need, Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) took a forward-thinking step—expanding its network of care through a new Surgery and Outpatient Center in Columbiana, Ohio.
This 76,000-square-foot, three-story facility represents the future of accessible, patient-centered healthcare. By bringing advanced outpatient services closer to where people live, SRMC is reimagining how care can be delivered—more efficiently, affordably, and compassionately.
The new Columbiana campus provides a full spectrum of low-cost, same-day care under one roof. The first floor is home to the Advanced Radiology Center, offering walk-in access for mammograms and digital X-rays—an important convenience for patients managing busy lives or limited mobility.
The center also houses advanced imaging technology, including 3T MRI, CT, ultrasound, and DEXA scanning, enabling clinicians to deliver precise, timely diagnoses in a setting designed for comfort and ease.

The second floor is anchored by the Firestone Surgery Center, where patients receive same-day outpatient surgeries supported by leading-edge technologies and professional, attentive post-operative care. The layout supports efficient patient flow and staff coordination, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the care experience.
On the third floor, the Firestone Infusion Center provides a welcoming and restorative environment for patients receiving IV therapies for chronic conditions. Thoughtfully designed private and semi-private infusion bays allow patients to choose the level of privacy and interaction that feels best for them—reinforcing a sense of dignity and control during treatment.

The new facility also consolidates Immediate Care Services and a range of specialty physician practices, giving patients greater continuity and choice in their care journey. Physician suites span the first and third floors, offering services in primary care, family medicine, pain management, ENT, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and more.
This flexible design allows care teams to collaborate more closely while giving patients a single, convenient destination for diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up. The result is a model of healthcare that feels both personal and progressive—anchored in community needs and built for the future.
Through its new Columbiana facility, Salem Regional Medical Center has redefined what it means to bring care into the community. With architecture that supports efficiency, empathy, and connection, the new Outpatient and Surgery Center reflects a shared vision—one where access, innovation, and compassion come together to make healthcare work better for everyone.
