At Wilmot Sanz, service is a core part of who we are—both in the work we design and the communities we support. This month, our team came together for a #WilmotSanzServes initiative to assemble care kits for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC. These kits, designed for both adults and children, offer moments of comfort, distraction, and encouragement for families navigating medical challenges away from home.
Following the guidance provided by Ronald McDonald House (RMHC), our designers assembled two types of kits: Protein Kits (for adults) and Activity Kits (for children). Each was curated with items that are easy to use, uplifting, and considerate of the unique needs of families staying at RMHC.
These simple items help ensure that families—often balancing long days between hospital visits, caregiving, and uncertainty—have quick access to snacks, stress relief, and moments of joy.

RMHC encourages including notes in each kit, sticking to positive, motivational messages. Our team embraced the opportunity, adding handwritten cards and doodles to brighten a family’s day and remind them they’re not alone. We traded corny kid jokes across our communal table for a good afternoon of laughs.
This volunteer effort brought together staff from across our studio—each contributing time, creativity, and care. Together, we assembled 20 kits, knowing that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference for families facing some of their hardest moments.
Ronald McDonald House Charities plays an essential role in keeping families close to the medical care their children need. We’re proud to support their mission and grateful for the opportunity to give back in a hands-on way.
