Steady the Course: Robert Mayo Promoted to Associate Principal

For more than two decades, Robert Mayo, AIA, has been a cornerstone of Wilmot Sanz—guiding teams, supporting clients, and strengthening the technical backbone of our firm. This fall, we are proud to announce Robert’s promotion to Associate Principal, a recognition of his unwavering dedication, quiet leadership, and deep commitment to the firm’s continued success.

While Robert humbly admits that the title may not change how he approaches his work, his influence on the practice is undeniable. Whether leading complex healthcare projects or overseeing the firm’s technology infrastructure as IT Director, Robert plays an integral role in ensuring our teams have the tools, systems, and guidance they need to perform at their best.

Robert continues to lead and support a range of significant healthcare projects across the Mid-Atlantic, including work for TidalHealth, GW Medical Faculty Associates, WellSpan Health, and Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital. His project leadership reflects a balance of technical depth and client-centered focus—ensuring that design intent, budget, and buildability align seamlessly from concept through construction.
