Wilmot Sanz is proud to welcome Lauren Rosenkilde Hendriksen to our healthcare interior design team. With a foundation in civil engineering and a passion for creating environments that feel as good as they function, Lauren brings a distinctive perspective to the design of healing spaces. Her path into healthcare design reflects both technical expertise and a deep appreciation for the human experience—qualities that align perfectly with our mission to improve lives through design.

Lauren’s career journey has been anything but conventional—and that’s what makes her perspective so valuable. She began her studies in Civil Engineering at Snow College, where she developed a strong understanding of structure, precision, and systems thinking. But her love for creativity and spatial storytelling soon led her to pursue Interior Design, where she discovered her true passion: crafting spaces that connect people to comfort, beauty, and purpose.

Her early work in high-end ski home design in Park City taught her how to merge form, function, and atmosphere. Later, she broadened her expertise with experience in healthcare, education, and multi-family design across Idaho, refining her ability to balance design detail with operational needs.

“I love the challenge of designing spaces that work as beautifully as they look,” Lauren says. “Healthcare environments, in particular, give me the opportunity to make a tangible difference in how people feel and heal.”

Designing for Healing and Connection

Lauren’s interest in healthcare design is rooted in personal experience. With a mother who worked in nursing and her own firsthand encounters as a patient, she’s seen how thoughtfully designed spaces can influence well-being, dignity, and recovery.

Her goal is to help create environments that move beyond the institutional, embracing warmth, light, and comfort while supporting clinical excellence. At Wilmot Sanz, Lauren looks forward to contributing to projects that balance technical precision with emotional resonance, continuing our firm’s tradition of designing spaces that care for people—inside and out.

Outside of the studio, Lauren finds joy in family life and time outdoors. A proud parent to a one-year-old daughter and dog-mom to Thyra, she enjoys camping, Danish cuisine, and the art of hygge—finding comfort and contentment in simple, intentional living.

Her love for balance and harmony in her personal life echoes her design philosophy: creating spaces that bring calm, connection, and warmth to those who inhabit them.

Lauren joins Wilmot Sanz at an exciting time of growth and creativity for the firm. Her technical background, diverse project experience, and compassionate approach to design will help strengthen our commitment to creating healthcare environments that inspire healing and human connection.
